Welcome to the La Esperanza Hydro Electric Project home page!
The La Esperanza Hydro Project is a small containment/run of river hydro facility located in the department of Intibuca, Honduras.
After 5 years of construction the project started commercial operation in 2006. Since than the project has been nominated for various awards including the WORLD CLEAN ENERGY AWARDS and the BBC World Challenge Competition.
